Hawassa Missions Update

In September 2025, after two road trips totaling about five hours and two flights totaling around four hours, I arrived in Northern Ethiopia, in the city of Adigrat. (Click here for more on this part of the missions trip.) From there, I took another flight of approximately two hours and ten minutes to Hawassa, carrying in my heart a great expectation of what the Lord would do. As soon as I arrived in the city of Hawassa, Brother Ephrem warmly received me. That very evening, the Lord confirmed His presence among us; two souls were ready for water baptism, marking a blessed beginning to what He had prepared for this visit.
Meeting Pentecostal ministers
Pastor Ephrem also had prepared meetings for us to meet and spend time introducing the End Time Message to some denominational ministers. A little over 10 came and we diligently shared the Word and most notably one minister came up and expressed desire to know know more.
One Pentecostal minister receives the Message
This minister was deeply curious to know more and even attended the meeting we held with the local church ministers. He later requested a personal session to understand the truth about the Godhead and water baptism. We were delighted to meet him again — after all, this was the very purpose for which we had come to Hawassa. For over an hour, we went through numerous scriptures, and as light broke upon his heart, the brother said, “I have seen this to be the truth; what now hinders me from being baptized?”

I responded, “If you believe with all your heart, I will baptize you right away.” Without delay, we proceeded to the lake nearby, where I baptized this minister in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was a moment of great joy and a clear witness of how the Lord continues to draw His own to the fullness of His Word.
Though it was already dark, with the help of a motorcycle headlight for illumination, We were able to baptize the brother successfully in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We also spent quality time with the ministers who already believe the Message. It was a precious season of fellowship and encouragement, and I believe it helped them become even more grounded in the present Truth and strengthened in their stand for the Word.
Sunday Meetings

Whereas Brother Tesfa continues to minister to the first group that received the Message in this city, Brother Ephrem was sovereignly led of the Lord to come into this region. God quickly opened doors for him both in the interior and in the capital. As of now, we are witnessing a total of over seven active outreaches, reaching a few hundred believers. Shortly after our visit, Brother Ephrem was invited to yet another area, where, after preaching to a gathering of a few hundred (photos below) denominational believers, over thirty-five of them were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

NEEDS
As much as the people of the south have their many several languages, the majority would still read Amharic. We thankfully currently have the Amharic Church Age Books printed. We need to however print tracts to help with outreach in the region.
Also the church here is in need for a place of worship.
Pray pray for the saints in this region.
