Psalms 78:4. KJV We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
The first outreach in the city of Hawassa, located in Southern Ethiopia, took place in 2015. At that time, Brother Timothy, a Kenyan brother who had been serving as a deacon in our church at Addis Ababa, relocated to Hawassa after securing employment with a new company. While there, he began reaching out to his co-workers and introduced the End Time Message to Brother Temesgen. Deeply moved by the truth, Brother Temesgen traveled over four hours by road to Addis Ababa to be baptized. This marked the first-ever outreach of the Message in the history of Hawassa — a simple yet profound beginning that showed how God’s ways are truly marvellous.

Brother Timothy had given this brother a copy of the Church Age Book, which he diligently took time to read and study. The photo on the left was taken in July 2018, when, together with a few brothers from the church in Addis Ababa, I decided to drive over four hours to Hawassa to have a personal meeting with Brother Temesgen. This visit marked our very first contact in the city of Hawassa and laid the foundation for what the Lord would later establish there.
On the left is a picture of Brother Temesgen and Brother Ephrem. At that time, Brother Ephrem was still a young believer who had traveled with us for the outreach. As you will read in the later reports, the Lord is now using him mightily in the city of Hawassa and its surrounding areas — a beautiful testimony of how God raises His own servants in His perfect time.
Brother Timothy sent a young sister Rebka to a certain school, and while there, the Lord used her in a remarkable way. During her time at the training college, Rebka felt led to share the Message by distributing tracts to as many people as she could. Through this simple but powerful act of obedience, many hearts were touched and the witness of Christ was spread among the students and the teachers alike.

It was through this that we in December 2018 received an invitation to go and share more, over 100 came to hear as we talked about "An absolute."
One of the leaders at this college, a pentecostal minister was impressed with what he heard and he invited us to go and share the same at his church. This was an amazing breakthrough that the Lord gave us at this time. Pastor Tesfa later on would receive the message and get baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, he still preaches this message to this very day in the city of Hawassa.

Several baptisms took place following the visit at Pastor Tesfa's church in the following days, months and now years.
The Hawassa revival of May 2021
Having previously returned to Uganda due to changes in government regulations, the Lord later laid it upon my heart to go back to Ethiopia, particularly to Hawassa, for a season. The few believers there had been faithfully streaming our services from Kampala, and I carried a deep burden for them to have an established local fellowship. The highlights of this mission began with two weddings and culminated on May 16, 2021, with the ordination of Brother Moges as pastor of the local assembly in Addis Ababa. After this joyful milestone, I continued the journey to Hawassa in an
ticipation of what the Lord would do.
Upon landing in Hawassa, we arrived at Brother Timothy’s home — myself together with Brother Ken from Nairobi. Shortly after, Brothers Assegied and Ephrem joined us from Addis Ababa, and the Lord began to do a wonderful work in our midst. During that visit, about thirty souls were baptized, marking the beginning of the first Message church in the city of Hawassa. It was truly a major breakthrough and a testimony of God’s faithfulness to His Word.
The people were gathering in Bro Timothy's house until we rented space and constructed a structure. Brother Tesfa continues to minister to the saints in this fellowship.
